IDVD Burn time?

I have a brand new SR MBP, and I tried to burn a movie i made in Imovie (2 hours) using IDVD. It took almost 3 hours to burn!!

Is this normal?

I'm sure it was doing much more than burning if it took 3 hours. Maybe because it had to go through all of the file rendering first ?

That may be it. So that time is not absurd?

Rendering menus and all takes a lot of time on my G5 dual, I think a 2 hour movie would probably take about the same time for me.

"Burning" in iDVD also includes all of the rendering, so that's most likely what took up most of that time. The actual burning probably took just a few minutes.

(I'm still waiting on my MBP)
