I found this reading about the iDVD 2.1 upgrade you can order...

Note: Customers may also order the iDVD 2.1 software upgrade by downloading a PDF order form, filling it out, and mailing it in (along with payment) for fulfillment. Visit http://www.apple.com/idvd to download the PDF and mail in your request. Web, phone and mail orders must be postmarked by September 30, 2002, and received by October 11, 2002.

Interesting, no? Then again, I just realized that this just came out, sometime recently. Anybody have any idea why Apple is only offering this upgrade till the end of september?

My question is: Does the update media contain a full version of iDVD? or do you have to have an earlier version installed?

This matters if someone wants to do a fresh install of OS X.2 and apps without having to upgrade everything that gets installed.
