Sync them so they mirror each other? If I buy a movie, or apps from the app store, can I sync them onto BOTH iPads or do I have to buy two of the same movies, etc.?

I want to use these iPads as a family media device - two kids. And without a DVD player in my car, they can watch different movies, or read different books, or play different games. SO I want them synced the same with the same exact apps, software, etc.

Oh - please take my iPad survey!

No thats a common question... you buy the app once you can use it on all your devices.same with movies and music.

So if I have already bought movies for my iPhone 3G, can I use it on the iPad? Because I have a ton of Apps and a few movies that I don't want to 're buy'.

As long as all the devices are being synced with the same user account and machine, yes you can do this... ie. My family uses our one and only account and we have our movies/music/apps synced to our 32GB 3Gs, 16GB 3G, 64GB iPad (x2)...

Thanks - that's good to know. I just realized though, i would have to repurchase those aps I bought for the iPhone because iPad has their own aps right?

you can use your iPhone apps on iPad. some apps have a separate version for iPad, you will have to repurchase them or use iPhone version.

It depends on if they are universal or iPad only. If they are universal, all you need is the update. Then resync to your iPad.
