ya dont 'need' to but what if apple server is down (or your broadband) or summit and you need to restore? may not happen...but could :)

anyway, with wifi sync now just let it sync with ya computer when its on - no need to plug in now anyway :)

Does the iCloud backup include your albums? Not just the camera roll? Does it include the entire camera roll or just the pics in PhotoStream? I thought I read that it only includes the camera roll. If that's the case, then if you move pics out of the camera roll into an album and it's more than 30 days old wouldn't you lose it?

I would recommend keeping a "hard copy" of ANYTHING that you feel is valuable. Servers crash (my school server was just down for TWO DAYS).

I have been backing up to the cloud, but I have a recent backup on my computer also. I plan to do a backup to iTunes every now and then.

I have been using cloud storage forever, but I always backup anything that I feel is "irreplaceable", like my resume, pictures, etc.
