Can I still get replacements from Apple? Cause I'm having slight problems with some things on my iMac that's starting to get annoying and don't want to go to the place where I bought it cause' they suck.

AND...

Let's say it needs fixing on September 13th and they offer me a replacement, will it be the revision iMac or the same thing I have now? Cause if that's the case I will wait to call Apple for replacement.

Yes, your warranty-related service would go through Apple.

And if they're "slight" problems, I wouldn't worry about what type of replacement machine it would be. They'll fix it rather than replace it. And then they'll fix it again. And then they'll fix it again. And if your computer becomes completely unusable and unfixable, they might give you a replacement...and they'll have plenty of the old model around to give you.

exactly, you really have to bitch and moan, AND it has to be MAJOR PROBLEMS before they would give u an updated machiene, there inventory is almost endless..which isn't a good thing for us:(

I guess so. I'm just pissed off that I buy an iMac a few days ago and it's already outdated. But seeing I'm having problems I thought I could possibly get an updated machine out of it.

It's not outdated, and won't be next week if new ones come out. There's always new stuff coming out, and just because a new one comes out doesn't mean yours stops working.

By all means they should address your issues, but expecting a new, updated machine at this point would appear to be beyond wishful thinking.

I agree. Just because a new model comes out doesn't make yours obsolete by any stretch.

I know but wouldn't you just be a tad annoyed if you buy a computer then next week you could have payed the same price (or cheap possibly) for same thing but better?

Well, your very first thread asked if you should wait for the new chips, and the general opinion was that you should. You promptly thanked everyone and then went out and bought an iMac the next day.

So yes, if there had been warning signs that the product was about to be updated, I might be a bit annoyed. With myself.

Not really. That's technology.

Of course, that is why you keep track of this site as well. :p

If you needed the new iMac then it was the right decision to buy it. In a week or 2 merom will become avaiable..everyone waiting will buy a mac with merom, then a month or 2 later something else will be upgraded or changed and then everyone will cry all over again. Its a vicious cycle..
