Yeah if you forward your texts it will appear on both.

yes if you have 2 step verification enabled - one of your other apple devices will text a code to confirm changes.

If you enable SMS forwarding or iMessages, your iPad and iPhone will get separate notifications when one comes in to each device. You will not get a notification on your iPhone if a notification comes to the iPad that was also not sent to your iPhone or received by your iPhone.
