iPad Pro If I find iPad Pro 12.9" the right size for annotation, how likely will I find 10.5 or mini too small?

Hi, I use my iPad Pro 12.9" 2017 mainly for pdf annotation. I found it to be of the right size to write down notes on pdf files without the need of zooming in and out often. If I get the 10.5" version or mini, how likely will I find them too small? I would guess additional zooming could affect the workflow.

I’m pretty sure a smaller screen would annoy me lots for the tasks you have outlined.

Depends how good your eyesight is.

I annotate A4/Letter-size PDFs side by side on a couple of 9.7” iPads.

If I were 10 years younger, I could probably do the same on the mini 5.

I use a 12.9, my colleague uses the 10.5

I specifically bought the 12.9 for its size - and would buy it again every day.

I tried the 10.5 and 11 Pro - while they are a nice form factor for mobile use - I find them too small for note taking.

Before my iPad 12.9 I used a Samsung 10.2 with pen input. The most annoying thing long term was the screen size.

My wife uses her 10.5 iPad Pro for marking up PDF's. I use the 12.9. Our company will buy her a different device and she's perfectly happy with the one she has. For me, I prefer the larger screen.

I think mini may be too small as resting the wrist on it already covers a large area of the screen.

I would need to buy and perhaps return for testing purpose. Just testing for a short period of time in store is not enough. I also want to see how other users in similar situation end up using.

Nobody is a better judge for your needs than you. Apple has a two week return policy for reasons like these.

If 12.9" is the right size, then yes, you will find the 10.5" too small.
