What can i do with it?

If I connected my 4S to the Apple TV wirelessly, could I play, say Angry Birds on a HDTV via Apple TV?

Sorry but I don't know an Apple TV does, besides watching Movies/TV Shows.

Rocket, you can mirror anything that's on your 4S onto your Apple TV. That includes Angry Birds and many other apps.

Are you sure about that? I thought it was only photo & video, and apps with photo/video content?

doh! just followed the link above and

"You can also stream AirPlay-enabled apps. Simply tap to start playing content on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, then tap again to instantly stream whatever you’re watching — or listening to — directly to Apple TV.

And now with AirPlay Mirroring, you can wirelessly and securely stream what’s on your iPad 2 or iPhone 4S to your HDTV."

I can mirror via my iPad 2 - not worked out how on my 4s...

THIS

Does anyone know the procedure to mirror the 4s on ATV? I have seen the icon in various video and photo screens and one or two apps. Is there a mirroring 'switch' somewhere in settings?

double tap home button, then swipe the multitasking bar at the bottom all the way to the left and you see the airplay option with the audio controls, turn it on and there will be a toggle wwitch to turn on mirroring.

Many thanks! I had no idea that stuff was over there (to the left).

One learns something new everyday!

I tried this yesterday and it works well with the iPad2 and iPhone 4S, but doesn't work with my plain old iPhone 4.

Although the Apple TV option appears (as it does with photos and videos), the mirroring switch doesn't appear. (I am running IOS 5.0.1 on the 4)

Thats because airplay mirroring only works on 4s and ipad 2

That explains that then, many thanks DefBref

Strange how the option is (partially) there though

Thanks I had not spotted that!

The option isn't 'partially' there, what is there on the 4 is the option to switch airplay on, which is different from airplay mirroring.
