Just wondering as i got an iPhone 8, for 100 USD, battery life 90%, but I want to know my options of battery replacement since Apple also replaces the waterproofing strips when they replace the battery.

Apple can be very picky with repairs if there are other hardware faults. They may want to sting you for a new screen and battery, but they may not. Best to visit the "Genius bar" and hear it from the horses mouth.

Ah i see! Because I got a second hand set for a good price, only down side, there is a deep scratch that feels like a crack, but the screen itself is fine and not noticeable during usage too.

If they won't do it just purchase a quality 3rd party battery and the display seal and do it yourself. The seal is available from multiple suppliers..

They may want to charge for the screen too.

Due to the way iPhones are opened it’s possible if it has a deep scratch in it that it breaks when opening the phone.

If there is any physical damage to the device, Apple will make you have it repaired before they will do the battery replacement.
