So I’ve decided to purchase the Apple care plus for my iPhone X - that’s it , I’ve done it.
Now should I take off all guards? Can I bring back and show to my self every morning that beauty? Take off the case I have and peal off the glass screen protector and enjoy this amazing phone and design ?
It will be great to hear what do you think I should do.
This is very attempting.

AppleCare Plus does not cover cosmetic damage. If you like have a scratched up and beat up phone go for it....

Hahahahha, OP I had the same thought!! I was using a black Apple leather case all this time and was like, this is way too bulky and ugly. Went naked since a few days, I ordered another very thin case in carbon fiber, will be using that once it arrives, but for now naked.

And yes, obviously I have AC+

No becasue even if I do have Apple care plus I don’t want to pay a deductible and waste time going to the apple store becasue my phone got scratched and dinged because I was careless.

Go naked. It is the only way to really experience the amazing materials, fit and finish of this high-end product.

Also the X is way grippier than the aluminium iPhones and hence much less likely to be dropped. And if it does happen, AC+ has you covered.

Just do it, man!

Personally, I have too many experiences. I’m looking to reduce my sensory overload. :)

But for the OP: it really depends on your usage habits and your comfort level with the cost or inconvenience associated with a damaged phone. I wouldn’t last 48 hours without a cracked screen or worse, so its drop-proof cases for me. Others I know go for years with bare phones.

Thanks guys for your thoughts, since this morning took of all guards and it feels amazing , Aldo Apple don’t fix cosmetic scratches, I’ve found on the internet a way to remove scratches from the sides , so I guess once I want to replace this phone with new one in one year from now , I will do this cleaning or maybe just accidentally drop my iPhone:) and get a replacement unit...

Thanks

I'm financing the phone through Apple so it came with AppleCare+ but still bought an Apple Leather Case. Started to realize how gorgeous it looks without so considering I'm just going to end up trading it in next Fall I'm going naked with a Sena Leather Sleeve on-the-go to protect it from scratches.

The X is the first iPhone that made me nervous to go butt naked. I refuse to use cases on any phone I own. They’re ugly. They add bulk. They’re straight nerdy looking.

I used the x 256 with Apple care for a week. Twice. One silver. One black. I always end up dropping all my phones at some point in its typical year long life. Yes I actually have a life. Active life. On the go. I’m always upgrading to the latest non plus sized iPhone.

I went and returned the x and got a new matte black 7 again after having traded in my gloss black 256 7. It proved durable and the size is right. X is too thick and heavy. Glass is just a stupid material to use on a mobile device. It forces you to use a stupid case. Apple care isn’t infinite damaged allowed. You’re out $$$s per incident (up to 2), time and the uncertainty of some non Foxconn factory rep peasant tech in the Apple store back room messing with it. The oled screen also bugged me using it in bed. You see the typical amoled blotches. Sure it’s clearer and richer but you adjust to it so it doesn’t feel special fast.

I’ll stick with the best of the last gen chassis 7 until Apple comes up with a better material other than stupid glass. No case life!

You will be waiting a while for wireless charging then. It works like crap with aluminum and Apple can’t defy the limits of technology

Something else to factor aside from others opinions, is how clumsy are you? That's a huge consideration that some arejust accident prone to dropping things or knocking them off a counter, etc. If you're somebody that's overall mishandles their product by accident, then a case would likely be your best option.

This ^ exactly, you never know when accidents are going to happen. That's why they're called accidents. My buddy just dropped his new X from his lap sitting in his car and shattered the back. YOU NEVER KNOW
