Can I still SSH the sms.db file back in and have all my SMS?

Basically I want to do a complete restore of my 2G iPhone to remove any unwanted settings left inside, but at the same time, don't want to lose my call history/time/SMS/etc.

I'm not really sure, I haven't tried that.
Give it a spin, and see what happens.
If it doesn't work, just restore it from your backpack.

Thanks for the input, but that's why I'm here though, to see if someone actually did this before
