If I win my hockey pool I am buying an iPad

Since the iPad came out, I've always maintained I'd wait till the 2nd gen.

Not because I am not a fan of the current gen, but just because I made it a rule of self not to buy 1st gen Apple products.

I'll forget all that and buy a basic WiFi iPad if I win my hockey pool. I am currently in 2nd place, 1 point back from 1st, and have a really good chance of taking it imo. 1st place is about $250.

I can probably resell it for that much and get myself the 3G one I want when it gets released next year.

Just want to vent my happiness in case I do win. :D :cool:

No need to diss my boy. He struggled this year, but he was my favourite player during his days in MTL. :D

And yeah, no other fans around it seems :(

At least 1 more hockey fan here. I'm enjoying watching my Habs play the role of spoilers. First it was Washington, and now Pittsburgh. Could this be the year for number 25? Go Habs Go!

But don't count out 1st gen products from Apple. Love my iPhone 1G that I have had for almost three years.

Hopefully (for him) he bounces back to his form from his MTL days, but I just don't see it. He was a flash in the pan, and is now just a middle-of-the-road goaltender.

Even if you searched for a similar thread, you wouldn't find one. I think that the reason you received a few sarcastic responses is that your thread topic isn't going to create discussion.

What type of responses did you expect? "Awesome!"? "Great!"? "Let us know if you win!"?

The point of a thread isn't to simply express yourself, a thread should be used to ask questions or to discuss an actual topic. Not to announce what you will do if you win a pool or what you plan on having for dinner.

I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just trying to explain the reason for negative-type comments.

I do get it. I've been around on enough forums to know what kind of topics create discussion. This was more of a knee jerk thread to my boys winning tonight, which helps the chances of me winning my pool...basically needed to spread my hapiness somewhere, and I let it out here. :D

People are over-sensitive sometimes though, it's just the internet after all. :rolleyes:

It's a non-issue. No way the Habs take the Pens in a best of 7.
