If My iPhone 3GS Isn't Shipped From China

I just got my tracking number for UPS and it shows that my iPhone 3GS is currently in Dallas, Texas. I've heard rumors that if the phone isn't shipped straight from China they are most likely going to be defective (i.e: Yellow tinted screen, uneven bezel, etc.). Is that true?

By the way, I ordered my iPhone 3GS July 21, 2009 and it's estimated delivery date is July 23, 2009. That's fast!

The iPhones are manufactured in China.... when you order the iPhone you are ordering it from Apple therefore it ships from one of their warehouses not directly from the manufacturer in china..

Do you realize how expensive shipping would be if every individual order was shipped from china?

It's true - all phones not shipped direct from China are defective. Seriously? As if quality control is centralized to one location? I hope your USB power plug has a green dot - because I've heard rumors that if it doesn't - yours will explode!

It was smuggled into the US so it's doesn't show where it originated. More then likely a fake Chinese copy made in Japan. Part of the #2 lunch combo. iPhone, LoMein and won ton soup.

Sorry guys. I guess I didn't really think it through. LOL. I have to watch what I post from now on. I'm new but that is no excuse. Thanks for the sarcastic but speedy responses. Is there anything you guys recommend on me doing for my iPhone 3GS before I first turn it on or once I turn it on? I have no idea since I've never owned an iPhone.

Before turning it on give it a nice glass of wine and some chocolate covered strawberries. It will become much more receptive that way. After you turn it on, be gently and sweet. The first time is always difficult.

If that's the case, why is Fedex showing SHENZHEN, CHINA as it's point of departure?

It will have taken 10 business days from order time to door delivery. Not really sure how $10 for expedite shipping helps. What's worst is that the local Apple store have plenty of iPhones in stock, and yet can't be shipped from there.
