I've been happy with my AirPods Pro from the start but with a third party equaliser app they sound tremendous!

I installed EQ Player Plus and adjusting the sound with the Smart>Range mode and whacking up the Extreme Low and Low take these AirPods to another level!
This really showed what they are capable of if Apple gave us a manual EQ option, ideally in the Music app itself instead of the rubbish presets buried in Settings.

The problem is that so much of the music downloaded from Apple Music is DRM protected and the third party EQ apps can't access them.

Give EQ Player Plus a try, it's free.
A couple of good examples of deep bass tracks to try are Back in Black by AC/DC or the start of One Light Burning by Ritchie Sambora.

Choose Smart then Range. Next adjust Extreme Low and Low to near max, Mid to around 40-45, High to around 80-85, Extreme High to around 80-85 and 3D Space at zero.
