the Core i7 version, I will almost certainly consider getting that and adding this x4 PCIe 1TB SSD and guess what?

That bad boy will ROCK HARD, no matter how many cores it has :)

Waiting for teardown info!

Secondary question: Is the 1TB Fusion drive a one piece SATA drive that I could put in my old mini for resale?

Or is it two separate drives, one SSD and one SATA? Thanks!

Just my 2 cents:

Why should the i7 not have soldered ram? I mean yeah it would be cool but then they need a different motherboard design and they didn't do two motherboard designs for the quadcore because it needs a different socket now why should they bother and design there real RAM slots..

Somewhere on this forum it was mentioned that this might be the case, so I was looking for confirmation/clarification on that point. I did not make it up :)

It's soldered, trust me. I have access to Apple's service manuals with part listings. EVERY logic board part number also indicates memory size.
