I know in real world usage the difference between the 12 pro and 12 pro max isn’t much difference but spec wise the pro max does have better low light and better stabilization. If the 12s pro this year has exactly the same sensors and specs will you still go for the larger display?

I know some have said there’s no other way to take advantage of the larger screen due to no moving icons where you want and no spilt screen yet. Guessing we may see this on iOS 15.

Size: Max

but have to say the 12 Pro feels small yet heavy. Wish now I’d gone with non-Pro.

I think I’m done with the pro Max devices but if the next iOS version brings something new then I might choose to go the Max way.

I prefer the larger screen, not because I have poor eyesight but because I can have more info on the screen. I just switched from a Note 10+ as my daily driver to a 12 Pro Max, so screen size is a factor to me. The weight and physical size of the phone is not a big concern to me, since neither the Note nor the 12 Pro Max feel awkward or ungainly in the hand.

I actually don’t know why I didn’t just buy the mini. When I’m home I prefer my iPad to the iPhone. And when I’m out the portability would be great. I always upsell myself due to fomo.

Have had a 12 pro max for 10 days now after 4 months with the 12, really like it, not too big or heavy as i was worried. Perfect with the apple leather case.
Bigger screen, better speakers, camera and battery are worth it.
My Mrs XR seems small now.

Came VERY close to going for the 12 pro max this year, loved the size and it really wasn't too big for me. Did go for the standard 12 though because no pro motion this year. I feel like with the 12s I could go for the pro max model assuming 120hz. I like the 6.1 inch size, its fine, but I do feel like I want to try something a bit bigger. I may not upgrade and just wait till the 2022 pro max model however, we will see.

@The Game 161, I honestly can't even cast a vote on this. For me, it's not a spec thing. I was dead set on getting the Pro this year because I like the lighter weight/slightly smaller size, BUT, I got $200 off my Max so I went with that. Been using the Max/Plus versions since they've been out and wanted a change, but for $200 off it was a no-brainer for me. Plus I already upgraded my wife to a 12 PM, so I already had a couple of cases and screen protectors for the big boy.

I was a little disappointed that this year the Max had a "spec bump" if you will over the Pro, I never liked when you had to get the biggest version to get all the bells and whistles. Even though this year the difference is minor, some think the Pro is inferior but I can tell you in real world usage, I can't tell any difference between my Max and my son's Pro. Only noticeable difference is my zoom gets slightly closer even that's marginal at best. But having different specs is enough to keep some from buying what's perceived as a "lessor" model.

Unless there's some game changing feature unique to the Max, my plan this year is going Pro. Even if it's not as "almighty" as the Max version, lol. Worse case, if I don't like it, it gets returned or sold and I get a Max.
