you could stick 10 or more of those in an iPhone and over 100 in an iPad... (3.2TB!!!)
What's more, is in the tech news, they're saying that the upcoming MicroSDXG can hold up to 2TB on a single card..

...I don't get it. Why are we fooling around with 32 and 64GB? That just seems like chump-change to me.

No thanks, I don't want viruses.

LOL. I found this in the free newspaper today.

So far, the overall number of threats to mobile devices is only about 1,000 a year - but that is expected to rise and rise. Globally, there are about 55,000 new malware threats to traditional computers every day.

But McAfee says it is inevitable fraudsters will increasingly try to compromise smartphones and tablet devices such as iPads.

Apple have only been relatively immune so far, due to the lack of market share. Now smartphones and tablets are becoming increasingly popular, it's iOS that is the main target for being (one of) the majority players. iOS has more chance in getting malware than android. Especially since Android is so fragmented at the moment.

The question is how much is it going to cost. I don't see terabyte SD cards becoming available or available at a reasonable cost for several years.

Agreed.

For example (prices from B&H), a 16GB microSDHC card (happens to be a Kingston) can be as little as $7.95 for a basic Class 4 (4MB/sec). To make up 1TB with 16GB cards, you'll need 64 of them, which will cost you a mere $508.80

Of course, if you're a bit more knowledgable and thus descriminating, you'll also care about the cards' I/O performance too. So if we upgun to a faster Class 10 (10 MB/sec) card (a Kingston 16GB microSDHC from B&H again), they now cost $87.75 each and rings up at a hefty $5,616.00 for 1 TB.
