See the title I can live without a JB so should I just update to be ready?

I don't wanna sound pessimistic but this jailbreak may be as good as it gets, I don't think we're ever going to get a new untethered jailbreak anymore. Tethered jailbreaks used to go unnoticed and now we're all installing this like it's the second coming of Jesus Christ.
And I'm telling this because there hasn't been a bootloader exploit for iOS 9.2+

Might as well.

But I'm staying w/9.0.2 JB...aside from the 1-2X a week shutdown, it's been rock-solid otherwise.

But don't think there will be an untethered JB for 9.2+. All eyes will be on ios10 JB going forward.

I'd say this jailbreak is semi-tethered. All you need to do to go back to jailbreak status is run the PP app.

Still beats the need for a computer every time you reboot.

This has been the most stable JB I've had.

Fluid and buttery smooth and no detrimental effect on my battery.

As ever with Pangu they don't give much forewarning ~ I assume to keep Apple on its toes.

As to your question about Untethered iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak = No one really knows.

At least updating to iOS 9.3.3 you get any new iOS features and Security Updates.

I agree . Highly doubt there will be . If there is, it will be for IOS 10

You dont need a bootloader or hardware bootrom exploit for an untethered jailbreak. I dont think you understand the process. There hasnt been a bootloader exploit available since Limera1n and that was for the original ipad, 3GS, iphone 4, ipod touch 3G and 4G and Apple TV 2G.
And there has been plenty of untethered jailbreaks since iOS 4.1
Im pretty sure there will be more untethered jailbreaks in the future. Most likely for iOS 10 and above.
I dont think we will see any more JB releases for iOS 9.
