Article:Your Computer Isn't Yours (on Big Sur)
Rossmann on the topic:

I am a huge Mac fan and advocate but my paranoia bells are seriously ringing right now. I won't say I understand all of it but I really do not like the idea that Apple knows what I am doing with my computer and can remotely stop its operations, this is some seriously 1984 Ministry of Love stuff. Accepting this blindly is the definition of being an "iSheep".

Should we care? Does it matter? Is it blown out of proportion? Should we accept our fate? Can we do something about it? What are your opinions!?

Orwellian isn't it? Surveillance or tracking COVID? In real estate, location location location.

It's only paranoia until you look behind the curtain and see who is pulling the levers.

Ignorance is bliss?

I really would like to see more opinions on people who know more. iSheep are brushing it off and privacy tin-hatters are going berserk. Part of the reason I don't use Windows or Goolag software is because their spying and privacy invasion.

These dumb theories have been debunked for years not just this week. Your private or corporate documents on your computer are unknown to Apple or Microsoft.

Some cloud companies like Dropbox can use automation to sell snippets of your data to partners. Apple doesn’t do this and it is their company promise that they are legally held to.

It would be so easy for a tech analysis to confirm what data is being sent from your computer. It takes 5 minutes to confirm. Do you think Apple wants to be sued by 500 million users?

Of course not. Data theft, personal or corporate, is a legal catastrophe. Every parasite lawyer in the world would love to have a case like that.

being a little naive here...That terms and agreement contract you sign is sure long for just a simple (no they don't know anything about you).

Frankly I think you should forget about privacy these days. The good news is that if you're not some kind of celebrity or a terrorist no one cares s**t about your activity or files.

While I do think its a little concerning that Apple does this, I don't take anything Rossman says about Apple seriously anymore. He's extremely knowledgeable but goes out of his way to smear Apple every chance he gets. His hatred for them is really over the top now and almost comes off as cartoonish.

I bet you won't be too happy when the Apple employee looks at your family pictures in your iCloud drive, and the Google employee sees your daily travels on Google Maps.

Google can see much more than your "daily travels". If you go to https://myactivity.google.com/ you can see that your whole browsing history across all gmail signed in devices is being stored there.
