What would they be? Games or apps.

Games: Real Racing, Let's Golf
Apps: Wunder Radio, Awesome Note

No Games
Apps: CoPilot and DocsToGo

I guess you can't follow instructions on your own question OP. Or, I don't understand your question.
You state: If you could only have 2 paid apps... What would they be? Games or Apps.

Then, you list 4, and most everyone else is listing 2 of each. I count that as 4 (Apps/Games).

Games: Doodle Jump, Rolando
Apps: Beejive, McSweeney's

I was thinking Tweetie 2, Documents to Go, NewsStand, but even though they're great apps, I could do without them and use free alternatives like TweetDeck, Dropbox (yeah, I know, no editing, but wouldn't be the end of the world), Google Reader webapp. Whereas McSweeney's is totally unique and there's nothing quite like it. Fantastic app if you like literature.

There are free alternatives to Beejive, but nothing that comes close in terms of features and functionality IMO. I couldn't do without this app.

But more than anything, Doodle Jump is an essential part of my life now, and I would be completely lost without it :D

Well...basically, what I was trying to get across was your top 2 picks of each categories.

Games: Civilization Revolution
Apps: Navigon

Can't think of any other games and apps that I use on regular basis.

Games: Bejeweled 2, AcidSolitaire Collection
Apps: MLB.com At Bat, Twitterrific Premium

1...I'd have to shoot myself.

and

2...The devs (both via Cydia and the App Store), would never make any $ at all.
