If you could only have one Apple product for the rest of your life, what would it be?

This would be one of anything Apple's ever released - but that and only that.

Would you choose a Lisa or Mac-128 for the nostalgia? A MacBook pro for the versatility? An iPhone for the portability? An iPod for the simplicity? A Mighty Mouse, StyleWriter or QuickTake to simply be ridiculous?

iphone or MBP. tough, but maybe the iphone. its almost like a small computer. I guess if i had that i could (maybe) settle for a PC the rest of my life. but just MABYE

there's no way i'd pick an iphone over a mac. while the iphone has had more impact on my everyday life since i got it, i just couldn't imagine going to a pc. other cell phones aren't so bad.

If I really had to pick just one and end it, I'd go with the 12" PowerBook.

I know I'd be giving up a lot of power by not taking an Intel portable, but the size would be worth it for me in the end, since I wouldn't be able to use an iPhone/iPod/etc.

Only one Apple product till the day I die? Has to be a fully tricked out Mac Pro with about 50 years of AppleCare. ;)

And provided I'm not paying for it, by 2057, it'll still be an acceptable music server of some kind.

If I could only HAVE one Apple product, does that mean I could still BORROW another?

Assuming the answer is no, I guess I'd HAVE to go with a MBP. Between work, school, and leisure, I just couldn't live without.

For all those saying iPhone - REALLY? With all of the iPhone-a-likes and things like Blackberry and treos, surely the Apple OS and design would be better saved for your machine rather than your cell..?

MBP hands down. If I could customize, throw in two multitouch hidef displays and a few Tbytes of Hard drive space plus 64 Gigs of RAM, oh and 32 10 Ghz cores... that would be the only Apple product I'd need. Realistically, MBP does the job fine, regardless of fantasy.

I need to change my panties now. :p

Fully loaded Mac Pro, as I'd get the most usage out of it...

But sooner or later, I'd stop using it as my main machine/phone...I'd move to a Palm Phone(possible an Android based phone later on) and PC with linux on it, and Asus Eee PC for my 'laptop"

That is exactly what I was thinking.
12" Powerbook 1.67GHz

Nice av, if I still used a desktop you'd be right, but since I don't the correct answer is an MBP.

12" Powerbook. But I'd probably try to hide a 2nd gen nano under last year's check registers or in my underwear drawer or in the tea box. I mean once you've had an ipod you sorta can't go backwards.

Tough one. I don't actually own an iPhone, but as a Windows tech I suppose I could survive on a Windows-only household, even if I prefer OS X. And I could install Linux...

The iPhone looks like an amazing product and would replace my iPod in a heartbeat. I hate every existing PDA on the market, iPhone is the only one that has me interested.

I'd have to wait until I actually buy an iPhone to make the call.

I'd have to say a mbp, although my current mb does the job fine. I suppose I could replace my iPod with something else, but OSX is irreplaceable.

Definitely my Apple stickers. This way, I could use state of the art hardware but put my Apple sticker over whatever logo is on it. :p
