I got the iPhone X since it launched, i'm fine with the notch, but it's not something you could ever just not notice it.
The notch is there mostly because of the components of the Face ID, which most other flagship phones doesn't have, which allow them to only use a small hole for the front camera.

Now for you, is it worth it, do you prefer the notch + face id, or no notch + touch id under display.

If I had my choice, it would be under the display. Face ID is nice and fast but, it isn't necessary for me. I am old school and not spoiled.

I would prefer to have the notch and Touch ID under the screen. I hated the notch initially but I'm used to it. I do think this pandemic has shown a necessity for Touch ID in the future.

What a stupid statement.🙄 Nobody "loves" the notch, but they simply don't care about it.
And yes, if we would get full functional Face ID without a notch (or even a camera punch hole), I bet everyone would get the full screen phone.

I propose another option, No Notch with Power button Touch ID (with selfie camera in hole punch or slim bezel). If Apple can perfect under screen fingerprint scanning then this is fine by me also, but the technology is finicky at the moment. Face ID is completely useless for me as it gives me eye strain, so i am biased in this regard.

I voted Notch + Face ID. For me, and I respect that others are free to be awkward, anachronistic, antediluvian luddites with a morbid attachment to old technology, clinging to it like Norman Bates to his mother, Face ID was a huge step forward and the sensors have to go somewhere. Also, I would lose the selfie camera altogether rather than have the grotesque absurdity of a punch hole.

Just one cranky old man's opinions, no serious offence intended.

I know Apple would probably do a better job with their execution, but I'd like to see user reviews before jumping on board.

I like face id. I would be open to a solution that provided both face id and touch id, but if i had to choose only one, face id with the notch wins for me every time.

Once you go Face ID you never go back, don't want them crappy, slow, unreliable, under display fingerprint readers that are currently being used on android phones. 🧐📱

For me I prefer Face ID vs Touch ID. At first I was kind of put off by the notch but now I’m fine with it. I do miss Touch ID in some situations though.

I highly doubt it was due to the notch but whatever you have to tell yourself .
