If you have a 2016/2017 macbook pro, have you faced keyboard/flexgate issues?

We hear about these issues all the time but I have personally not had any issues with my 2017 pro. Curious how widespread these issues are cus we all know bad press/issues attract the most attention.

I've had my replacements so many times I lost count, even got a complete new mac of the same model from apple and that had issues too. In the beginning it was touch id after keyboard replacements, then it was the keys again, then finally the screen flexgate. Then there are blown out speakers after waking from sleep and playing youtube or spotify, right and left.

I would avoid all macbook pros between 2016~2019. I'm pretty sure I've been to the genius bar or service provider just under 10 times for this laptop during applecare coverage. Then the battery started bulging right after year 3...

Just last month I got rid of the last MBP 2016-2019 in the family. I have to admit it was a relief. The keyboard situation was just horrible. The last redesign in 2019 kinda fixed it (didn't have any problems since), still I simply couldn't trust these butterfly mechanisms anymore.

Air M1 solved everything... bought three of them in the past year (for the price of ONE 2016 MBP). More powerful than the last Intel devices, screen is acceptable, no worries about dust and keyboards.
