Had it stolen or broke it without it being covered under warrently etc..

Would you buy another?

I use mine every day, but I dont't think i would buy it again, but I'm not in a position to sell it either.

That's what insurance is for - so you don't have to think about this question!

okay, immagine that i don't have insurance, or I don't think its worth claiming on my house insurance.

I would WANT to replace mine the next day... but i'm in the position of not having it covered by any form of insurance nor having the money handy to replace it.

Neither position is ideal - but it is what it is right now, hopefully court in a few weeks can change them both.

But, it suits my portable/mobile needs to a T and would be greatly missed while attempting to wait out a refresh. There isn't anything i'd like except a back facing camera to use for pictures of receipts and such. Otherwise, i'm good with where it is now hardware wise.

I would definitely buy a new one, but depending on when I lost it, I'd make the decision whether to buy a new one, or wait for the next revision.

i'd call american express and let them deal with it. It's not that hard to get an amex card...

I would not buy another one until the next revision.

Kinda where I am. <- left mine on a plane

I really had no version 1 issues with mine, but I might as well wait to see what the next model offers. The screen is great. I'm not thinking retina display will make it to the large model. So, I guess the hope is for the better CPU and maybe a wee bit more ram. I'm indifferent to the camera.

I could buy another version 1 and be happy though. It worked pretty darn well and I hate see them out and about now.

I could maybe file an insurance claim, but I typically don't for kinda small things. I want my insurance there for when someone dies on my property, the place burns down or floods or something like that. I don't really think the iPad is worthy of its own insurance claim. Maybe I'm wrong on this, lol. I could get screwed even if I show restraint on filing claims.

Yes I would. But would perhaps wait for the next version. Depends on how long the next version was away when I lost it I guess. It would be hard to live without now that I have gotten used to it.

I would have to buy another one I just love using this one too much. Sort of be like lost without it and having to turn a computer on to see if I have any emails seems like a waste of time.
