...you should try changing the way your iPad connects to the internet. have seen some people saying its kinda slow and I agreed. For example, I have the Sprint Overdrive 3G/4G mobile wifi hotspot. My speed was ok, nothing great. Also got ok speeds at Borders and Starbucks too. So I thought this was just as good as it got, until today. I have that turbo Road Runner connection here at home. Decided to pick up a Linksys router tonight and see how that worked and wow  the difference is like night and day! My iPad is blazing fast now and apps download in seconds, not minutes. Best money I have spent in awhile.

If you have a clean wifi connection you should be good. Latency is something not a lot of people talk about but it's just as important. This is something 3G and even 4G will have to conquer. 65ms at home latency vs 200ms over wireless 3G.

Glad to hear your iPad is fast

So to summarize the original post, using your personal cable modem connection via WiFi is faster than a cell connection or shared public WiFi.

This really shouldn't be news to anyone.
