If your phone is locked on the lock screen and someone else looks at the phone, or if you do not use faceid, what happens when you swipe down from the notifications section?
Does it still display or can you disable?

You can set the X up so it will show the notification but not he details like the contents. So for example someone will see you have a notification from messages but it won't display the sender's name or the messages contents

EDIT: Only when it detects your face will it show the details like sender's name and the message contents.

If your phone is locked and you have “show previews” under “notifications” in “settings” set to “when unlocked” then notifications cannot be read when the phone is locked with either a passcode or Face ID or both unless you know the passcode or your face is the one stored on the phone.
