I recently reformatted my computer (windows 7) and upon running iFaith and selecting the "Show available SHSH caches on server", I get an error message saying iFaith was unable to hook iTunes and was curious if anyone else got this error message and was able to solve it

It would be much appreciated for suggestions. I originally had the iTunes installation on a second hard drive but I have uninstalled all Apple related components and moved them to be installed in their default directories (C:\Program Files (x86)\) but the error is still there

I doubt it's an antivirus blocking it as I was using Avast before the reformat and did not have this problem (I have put iFaith on the exclusion list just in case but the error persists)

Much appreciated for any help, thank you once again

Edit: for any that stumble on this thread. To reiterate, I reformatted and reinstalled my OS around 2 weeks ago and made the first installation of iTunes on my D: drive.

I got this error and even after uninstalling iTunes from my D: drive and letting it default to installing on the C: drive, the error persisted

I just reformatted and reinstalled my OS again yesterday and let the first installation of iTunes default to the C: drive and the problem went away. It's not the most optimal solution but it's a working one.

It looks like if the first installation is on a separate drive or partition, it messes up the registry values for ifaith to "hook" to iTunes

I did look to support with ih8sn0w on twitter but the only suggestions he gave were moving the installation to the C: drive, rebooting, and making sure no antivirus was blocking iTunes or ifaith which unfortunately, didn't help my issue
