when i download themes from cydia is there any ways just to use the icons from the theme?

You would have to manually go through and delete all other elements outa the theme normally. Couple newer themes out that have individual packages for icons. The nicest imo is Andro. All the packages are separated i.e. a package for just SB icons and another for Settings icons... Here's a link
