what a bargain!!!!

ive been after an app that basically shows you a range of exercises available for particular muscle groups. after searching through a few, this one was the app of choice.

there are images, and descriptions of over 230 different exercises sorted by body region or the exact muscles that they target. very easy user interface (obviously). each exercise also has an iput screen where you can record weights and reps etc.

you can also construct your own workout with a range of exercises you want, or select from a preloaded workout. the preloaded ones can be selected from aims i.e. weight loss, stregth etc

also has weight tracker, bmi tracker and bar charts to show progress etc

overall, spot on!!!!!! and highly recommended for the money!!!!

How does it compare to SixPackApp? Which i think is excellent, and free.
shows you excercices, suggested routines, pics, tips, what not to do etc etc

I started out with GymGoal Lite, just for it's workout log. I still prefer viewing the logs on Gymgoal Lite, but since I'm a bodyweight enthusiast (no weights), I didn't need the exercise database, and logging the bodyweight exercises so it would show on the graphs required filling out the logs differently than usual. I moved to Bodybook Fitness Journal, great app without the exercise database (don't need it), and configuring the app to log efficiently and graph bodyweight exercises was easy, and made logging so much easier. Great app!

I have both sixpackapp and iFitiness. Basically you get what you pay for.

If you're serious about the gym - you really need to be changing up your workouts every couple of weeks to stop your body getting used to the exercises you do. Sixpackapp has a couple of basic exercises - most of which, I'd say I already knew. iFitness has so much more. Therefore there you'll never run out of exercises to do in the gym.

Also, iFitness gets updated more often than Sixpackapp.

I'd definitely recommend iFitness on the basis that if you really are a gym enthusiast - £1.19 is nothing compared to all the protein shakes your paying for, gym membership, training equipment and healthy food etc.

completely agree with the OP and Masterell. i bought this app about 6 months ago and it is the only app (other than beejive) that i open regularly, week in, week out. it is worth so much more than £1.19 with its regular updates, massive list of exercises and warm ups, and its logging. in their last update they also mentioned videos coming soon which will be awesome. i tried sixpackapp, but for me ifitness is so much better. maybe its just because i'm used to its layout/gui but the regular updates really do help you feel like you're getting your moneys worth. i'd recommend it to anyone who does any kind of workout, although its obviously better suited to people who do weights.
