Update: iFlix 2.0 is out!
New Features:
-Detailed Queue - includes format (Blu-Ray/DVD), genre, rating and availability
-Instant Queue Features - manage your instant queue, add, delete, and reorder items
-Search also allows adding to Instant Queue
-Stunning new visual interface
-Flip upside down to get to the bottom of the list, flip right side up to go back to the top (GREAT for long queues, works with drag reordering too!)
-Can now switch movie formats (Blu-Ray, DVD) in your queue
-Respects Netflix account preference for adding Blu-Ray when available
-Shows number of movies in Queue
-Shows saved movies in a separate list, along with their availability date (when Detailed Queue is turned on)
-Improved search speeds and reliability

Just want everyone to know that iFlix is out on the iTunes App Store.

You can see a tutorial with a bunch of screenshots here.

Basically, you can do most any of the things you commonly do on Netfix.com. You can add movies via search or "Top" category lists, as well as Netflix Recommended movies, reorder and remove items from your queue, and all the stuff the beta version (on Installer) was able to do.

New Features:
  • Add movies to top or bottom of your queue
  • Rate any movie by going to it's details view
  • Reject recommendations to improve Netflix's predictions
  • Move items in your queue all the way to the top or bottom with one button (instead of dragging the whole way)
  • Passwords with symbols should now be working

Enjoy, and feel free to email me with feature requests or questions from the iFlix Support page.

Beautiful. You've got my money!

One of my favorite JB apps. I was wondering if it would ever make its way to the app store :)

Thanks!

Great! I just graduated and have been planning on starting up a Netflix account. This will make it so much easier! Thanks again!

I just bought it. It's great (but a little crashy). Thanks!

Just checked it out and I dig the new features like browse abilitiesand turning the "at home" into a "recent" queue.

Some feature requests for the next version:

* the ability to toggle on/off the dvd covers for when I am stuck on edge. I have like 150 movies in my queue and over edge it takes a long time to load all the covers and sign in. On 3G it flies so I'd love to be able to toggle that.

* Not sure if this is possible but I'd love when adding a movie to be able to add it as a Blu-Ray if the format is available.

Thanks for doing such a great job on the app!

The tutorial site is great!

One question though, are there any plans to be able to view/modifed/add to the Instant Watch queue? This is actually the queue I manipulate the most (since I have a Roku Netflix box).

Thanks.

now i'm really getting ahead of the game but, imagine if you could watch the trailers for any of the movies right in the app?!

I'm going to look into adding this feature right after I resolve the issues with it crashing under low memory conditions (e.g. after you've been running a lot of other apps that don't clean up well apparently).

I would love to find a way to do this. Unfortunately the ones on Netflix's site are Flash. Any ideas?

I'm already working on the first idea. Unfortunately, I can't see a way to implement the second. I thought there was a Netflix setting to send the Blu-Ray automatically if available, is that not true?

yes there is that option, but sometimes netflix is screwy and adds the regular dvd instead. i think having the option to toggle between regular and blu-ray would be a great feature.

oh. one more thing. i agree with people above about having an auto login when only one account is setup. that would be great.

Good to hear. You have my purchase even without that feature (installing right now) :)

Unfortunately, there just isn't a good way to do this. You can bet that if there were an inexpensive (download size) way to get this info, I'd put it on there. Email Netflix and ask if they'll add that data to their RSS feeds.

As far as how the movie is added to your queue, I might be able to add an option to try adding the Blu-Ray version if available, but you won't be able to confirm if it did it right or not from the queue view. I may be able to add that info to the movie details view, but I'm very reluctant to do so, since it would have to be done by page scraping, which is notoriously unreliable/breakable.

A bug thumbs up. Bought it use it. Missing a couple of things but seeing how the dev is going to sell $$$$ of them, I am sure he now has a vested interested in updating with more features as opposed to one written for the jailbroken market.

Oh. Thread starter is dev.

Kudos! This is the app I have been waiting for. DARN good job so far. DARN good. Best of luck and keep up the great work! Already rec'd it to five friends.

Edit: Question

Can I tell via the q how long a wait is? (i can on their web site and this is helpful to me when rearranging movies in my Q)

Hi there. Great idea for an app, and one I was looking forward to. Looks great, and it's very easy to browse & edit your queue. It took a while (about 10 minutes) for the changes I made (one move and one addition) to be reflected on my Netflix account on my computer, but it definitely works -- and an instantaneous change isn't really that necessary with this anyway. As long as it happens relatively quickly!

One MAJOR request:
I'm not sure how many people have have multiple Netflix accounts (is it that common? If so, that's news to me), so I'm not sure how necessary it is for the app to always open on the accounts list page. Instead, it would be really great for it to open (or at least have the option in Settings to open) on the queue of the last viewed account. It seems silly, when you only have one account (again, do people really have more than one??), to always have to open to the list page, and then click on your one account. It's an annoying extra step. Plus visually, it's more interesting to open up to a page with pics, than a dull white & black list.

One MINOR request:
Not sure how easy it would be to implement, but it would be cool to access friend's accounts, like you can on the Netflix page. These could be listed on the main accounts list page, under a separate line that says "Friends." Obviously if you go to theirs, it would be "view-only." This isn't that important, so no biggie if it can't happen -- but it would be cool!

I would love to find a way to do this. Unfortunately the ones on Netflix's site are Flash. Any ideas?

Maybe for trailers you would have to access something other than NetFlix's flash trailers? I know it seems odd, but if you can do it in a seamless way that doesn't look like you're going outside of NetFlix, it would be cool. As to where to get the trailers, I don't know? Where does an app like "Box Office" (since removed) access them? I know there are trailer websites, just can't think of any off the top of my head. Might be too much trouble for you in the end, but if you could make it work, it would be AN AMAZING feature!

Just bought it, great app! I used it when it was on installer and it was great then too.

You know what would be neat, and it would probably be a lot of work. But, have coverflow for this app would be great. The art could flip over to show options to add to the rental list, or to show movie information, just like in the ipod section of the iphone.

Cool idea! I'm not sure why more apps don't use coverflow!

I bought this and so far not bad, also if you have the blu-ray priority feature turned on your netflix it will honor the request. Good deal!

The login thing is annoying with one account though.

I'll look into it. If there is a way, it will have to be in the Movie Details view for the individual movie, and load alongside the ratings.

Your competition, Dashbuster, seems to have blu-ray integration, showing you which formats are available and letting you switch between dvd and blu-ray. This is a must have feature for me, as I got netflix primarily for blu-ray.
