Ok i knew jailbreaking my 1.1.2 uk phone was never going to be easy, but i'll just say i'm a little bit bewildered and i must be doing something wrong somewhere
Anyway what I do is this
I plug in iphone into mac (although it's normally sync'd to the pc) tell it to unshackle it
It opens itunes and says hold down option whilst clicking restore and then select the 1.0.2 firmware, which i do i grab it from the /application support/bitsplit/ifuntastic/ folder
it then tells me itunes SHOULD give a 1013 error...it doesn't it bungs in the 1.0.2 firmware does a restore and then it goes to the music store to activate it
NOTE at this point i am now ONE STEP AHEAD of the ifuntastic jailbreaker
I quit it again
it then opens and then it fails
The other odd thing is that when i checked the info on the iphone after the restore, it still said 1.1.2 r438b or something
has anyone else in the uk had success with ifuntastic? I can't be the first person surely?
P.S BIG THUMBS UP to Apple for building in the 're sync with your backup' function in itunes!
