I just wanted to point out to anyone who is planning on unlocking or jailbreaking their iphones that the BEST all-in-one software is now out and of course free!

Basically iLiberty+ now incorporated iPlus which is a safer method of unlocking your iPhone than ZiPhone.

If you unlock a new iPhone with ZiPhone it will permanently change an important part of your phone (the bootloader) so that Apple will NOT honour any warranty claims.

iLiberty+ makes changes that are fully reversible and indeed can be reversed from within the application itself!

I would strongly recommend using this instead of ZiPhone BUT it is your choice and if you do not have your iPhone officially on an iPhone tariff then you can't get it fixed under warranty anyway!

Download it from here:

There is an update out today that you can get updated automatically as it self-updates and makes installing other packages easier!

Why use iLiberty+ instead of any other method?:

Because:

ZiPhone downgrades your bootloader to 3.9 which will void your warranty should you ever need to return it to Apple. It is not reversible.

iLiberty+ downgrades the bootloader to 3.9 FB which CAN be put back to 4.6 thus fully reversing any unlock and not voiding your warranty!

In addition if you browse hackint0sh forums you will see that ZiPhone unfortunately can cause many problems with your phone - possibly breaking wi-fi or even making the phone unbootable permanently.

Of course you may not care about your warranty and you may use it and be fine - but I would not want to risk breaking an expensive phone when there is a safer alternative.

I'm really leaning towards using ILiberty or IPlus. You say ILiberty has now incorporated IPlus. So should I just use ILiberty to unlock, jailbreak, and activate my phone over IPlus? Thanks!

The only advantage iPlus has is that it installs BSD subsystem, Open SSH and several fixes with installer and they show up as installed WITHIN installer.

iLiberty lets you install all those as well but installer does not show them as installed even though they are (if you select them!).

This will be fixed in a future update apparently.

However iLiberty is very well written and gives you informationa bout what is going on on your iphone screen which is very good!

So if I was you use iLiberty+ and you will be fine!

If I use IPlus or ILiberty+ with a refurbished Iphone (with an older firmware i assume), do I first need to restore to 1.1.4 or just start the process?

I was looking at the screen shots for installation and wondered if I should check the box "unlock with 3.9FB". It does not say in the tutorial.

Finally for now..what is a payload? I see it says I can select my own payload.

Will I have to do anything afterwards with ILiberty+ to allow my phone to be used overseas? I notice that for Iplus you have to install an international payload to allow it to be used in countries not supported by the Iphone yet.

Thanks again.

thank you friends

thank you friends with your valuable information i have successfully unlocked new iphone version 1.1.4 and it works gr8:)
