Hi guys,

My gf's 5 year old Dell brick (ewwwwww) is begging to retire so we're considering a MacBook for her. How is iLife 06 on the MacBook? Our current fastest Mac is a Power Mac G5 1.6ghz with 2gb of RAM. I'm getting tired of waiting to use my Mac because she's always doing something iPhoto, iMovie, or GarageBand while listing to iTunes. Hopefully, iLife 06 apps will be just as fast, if not faster than my Power Mac.

Um yeah i think it is safe to say that the MacBook will be able to handle the iLife suite. AS always get as much ram as you can and everything should be good.

Tell me that's your GF in your avatar and you have a larger version :p, anyways - I run the iLife '06 apps on my 2GHz MacBook all the time, they run great!

Don't be worried, she'll notice an increase if anything.

If it is, he should have 100000000000000000000000 photos in iPhoto.

They're Universal apps and on a dual core machine like the MacBook, they'll scream.

The Macbook has a faster and better processor than my iMac G5 (the Rev RIGHT before they included iSight!). My computer handles iLife great. THe Macbook should rock it!
