Thanks to the heads up from the great folks on this forum, I was able to track down a 17" refurb iMac the other day. It arrived last week with my Leopard upgrade, I did the upgrade and everything is great. My question is, does iLife 08 come with Leopard, or is this a different purchase since I got the refurb? Just curious if I missed something or if I need to buy a copy..

Thanks-

iLife comes with a new Mac, it does not come bundled with Leopard.

The confusion seems to arise because when you get a new Mac you get the current OS AND iLife pre-installed.

However if you buy an OS, it does not come with iLife.

iLife is a software suit unto itself. It's just a bonus that it comes pre-installed on new iMacs.

iLife is $79.

As far as refurbs go, I'm not entirely sure. Probably though. On your OS install disk, look for a link to "other software" or "bundled software" or something like that. If you get it, that's where it will be hiding.

Yeah iLife 06 was on there, but not 08.. I will start looking for a deal on 08, from what I have read it looks quite nice..
