I want to install Leopard on one partition and Tiger on another. Are there any ill effects of this. I thought I read somwhere that some things might end up being written on a sector that they dont belong or something.

Whats the good word?

That is what I am currently using with the Leopard Beta and Tiger 10.4.10... but honestly, I almost never boot into Tiger anymore.

So you haven't had any problems with this?

If it means anything, I ran Panther and Tiger that way for a year or so. It got to the point that I never booted in Panther anymore, so I backed it up and formatted it.

thanks. Now I just need to decide how much space to give to the tiger partition. Seeing as how I plan on using Leopard most of the time and actually only need Tiger to take a school exam on. Any suggestions as to a minimum?

I gave Tiger 10GB, and that gives you enough room for Tiger, iLife, and iWork as well. This is assuming you don't install printer drivers adn whatnot.
