While waiting for the Mini to arrive at Apple Stores, I used Excel to back-calculate the usable screen size (based on screen resolution and diagonal length posted on Apple's website) and PowerPoint to draw this. Pinned my iPhone XS Max against this picture and it seems accurate.
Anyways, a few days ago I posted a question about whether I should buy an iPad Mini 6 256GB (US$790 after taxes) or an iPad Pro M1 128GB (US$875 after taxes). Yeah, very weird pricing in my country.
With this picture, it confirms that there is not a huge size difference between my current iPhone XS Max and iPad Mini 6. Technically, the screen size of Mini 6 is ~2.0x larger, but since I use my iPhone in the landscape mode to read PDFs (where there's a lot of zooming & scrolling), I don't expect reading PDFs on Mini to be much better. Therefore, I'm inclining toward the IPP option, though I'll need to see them both in-store to confirm my purchase.
Anyways, each person has a different use case ?. If you have a smaller phone, I'm sure you'll like the Mini 6.
