Illustrator CS problem saving to PDF

Well, I've upgraded to CS, and now when I try to save the Illustrator file to PDF I get the following error: " An Unknown error has occurred"

I have the following setting:
Compatibility: Acrobat 5
Preserve Illustrator editing capabilities
Embed page Thumbnails.

What gives?

there's an update for CS that addresses some of the issues it has, though it by no means takes care of all of them. It might help you...

From experience such errors occur when bitmap transparencies are present in the document, it quite simply can't cope with it, either because of the PDF version or is simply doesn't like it.

If you've got transparencies try increasing the PDF version or maybe look into alternative methods of using the transparency.
