I can't seem to get Illustrator CS3 EPS files into Flash... They won't import. I've seen this on other forums, but their answer is to save it as an earlier Illustrator EPS... I can't get Illustrator to downsave! It doesn't seem to be an option anywhere. Anyone have ideas? Thx...

file/save as

in save choose Illustrator EPS from Format on the bottom.

in the top of the next dialog choose whatever version of EPS you like:

Wow, that was dumb. I didn't click through to see, thanks Shecky. Normally I only have to downsave when i upgrade before my printer does!

edit:
While that's sorted out, downsaving does not seem to solve the problem - Anyone else know why EPS files won't import into Flash? Is there another vector format Flash would support?

Figured it out, for some reason Flash doesn't seem to support EPS generated by Illustrator, no matter what version - but Flash *will* read AI files natively. Strange.

Be sure you are in sRGB color mode within Illustrator.
Select the objects you wish to import to Flash;
Edit>Copy
Switch to Flash, select the target layer;
Edit>Paste
