Help! I'm trying to read Mac made Illustrator files on a PC computer (it's a company user request, not mine), but I'm unable to. A msg pops up on the PC saying the file is unreadable. What can be done? Thanks.

do the Mac files have the extension as part of the file's name? filename.ai as an example of a file created in adobe illustrator. The PC will need them but lots of people dont bother to put them on the name of files when they create a document on a Mac
What version of Illustrator on the Mac?
How were they saved? What format? What compatibility options were chosen?
What version of Illustrator on the PC?
How were the files transported to the PC?
Are you trying to open a file that starts with an underscore (_myfile.ai)?
What are the filenames? Do they contain any punctuation - esp. /|\:;

Thank you for your help... I think it was the file name extension problem.
