LOL. :) I'm still saving up $$$, but I'm almost there! Hopefully, I'll get my hands on a new iMac in the next few weeks.

it'll be funny if the imac's don't get an update.

i wonder when apple is going to allow users to modify their computers as they see fit (and i'm not talking about the mac pro).

i have the 24" imac and would like to be able to change the 7600 GT for something else :D

I did that with the original iMac G5, riddled with problems. If I where in the market this time I would wait until the kinks are worked out, but then there are people who have flawless iMac G5 rev As.

Definitely v.excited. I know some people have been waiting longer, but I've held out for 2 months for the new iMacs!! And for someone who is as impatient as me, that's nothing short of a miracle.

Such is the power of Apple, I bow to the will of Jobs.

It would be really funny if they announced the new iMac then made you wait until October to get it. I can see a lot of angry people in 3 hours.

Y'know, I've woken up in cold sweats over that very same scenario..

By 10pm tonight (GMT), you can expect me to be hitting that 'order' button on the Apple Store, happily waving goodbye to a 4 figure sum, cranking the stereo up to 11, putting on some leather trousers and air-guitaring my way every room in the house to the sound of Whitesnake/Stan Bush/Bon Jovi or virtually any other 80's poodle rock band!!

BRING IT ON JOBS, MAKE ME WEEP WITH JOY!!! :apple:

The point of this thread. And the profanity. Is what.

Profanity is the colouring pencil of modern language. Without it, we'd live in a monochrome world of bland dialogue. We could never express anger, or the extreme happiness that Apple products bring. All hail profanity.

You will be sorely disappointed when Jobs takes the stage and announces they are shutting down iMacs for good and instead are selling iHovercars with multitouch windshields....

what? That's as good a prediction as many going around these days.

Bought 5 apple stock options-my plan is that the profit on them
over the next couple months will pay for my new Mac!

I have an appointment at the Apple Store at 1p.m. EST (time of keynote), and I really, really want them to have the new iMacs (assuming they come out) in stock and ready to be purchased. I am taking my summer earnings (I'm a high school student who only gets money during the summer) and I am prepared to purchase the 24", if they are under $2000. I don't want to spend more than $2000 on the actual computer, because I want a new router, etc, etc. I am just hoping that I can walk out of the store with a Top Of the Line iMac for less than $2000, that's all I ask of you Steve Jobs...
