For some reason I'm asked for the Appstore password every time I try to download something (free or not), regardless of my settings. This is on an iPad mini (1st generation) running IOS 9.3.5.
In the Settings app I have these settings (within iTunes & App Store - Password settings):
- Purchases and in-app purchases: Require after 15 minutes
- Free downloads: Require password (disabled)
I understand that with these settings I should be asked for the password once, then not for another 15 minutes, and for free apps not at all.
I have another iPad mini (5th generation) running IOS 14.8 and I don't have that problem there, so apparently it has to do with the iPad and not my App store account. The app store password settings are the same there.
