Apple just give us pro the middle finger but i have to acquire 2 station and moving to Windows will be ,for now, cost prohibitive...
Wondering if putting the standard graphic card 5770 to the garbage and buying a GeForce GTX 670 will work without hassle?

Gonna put OWC exelcior PCI SSD disk to and the video card is the big unknown for me.

Let's not forget how apple treat us...
Thanks for your imput about the video card

5770 is a good card, but it's old tech and outdated by today's standards.

That's why i looking toward swapping with something more decent , but seem that video card need to be flashed in order to work flawlessly in a Mac Pro...?

Honesty the 5870 works well for HD video editing. Can't comment on 4 or 5K... but if you want an Apple supported GPU the 5870 is noticeably faster than the 5770.

the hd5870 is a very good card but costly. I think the hd6970 is thr first card to be a little better. the problem is not the card the problem is apple sees desktops as a hinderance to the cloud. the macbook pro and the macbook air got a lot of love today. they are moblie and they would be much more likely to need a cloud . A mac pro can be cloud less for many uesers and apple does not seem to want to let this continue
