I am thinking about building a apple laptop from scratch, probably a 12 inch. See, I plan on purchasing the parts from ebay over time, because next year (June) I am going on a month long trip to Europe, and my current laptop is the size of a spider monkey. i was thinking in the least a g3 dual usb ibook. At the most, probably a older rev of a 12 inch powerbook. Are there any good guides around? Has anyone tried this? If so, what's easier, an ibook or pb? It really doesn't need much power and will give me a long term goal. Huge question I have: Do the parts come with screws? Bigger question: Say for instance i get an entire g3 case, do I suddenly have my choice of logic board? Say 500mhz through 900mhz? I guess a low end g4 ibook would be safest because there was no failure to the reed switch. I guess there never actually a 12 inch titanium. Remember here, no talking me out of it, i am in it for fun. It also would also be awesome to say not only can I build computers, I can build laptops too.

Something I might also add, I have been watching this forum a long time, like iGary's MDD long. I don't have a mac (a legal one anyways) and I really want one. However, until both my current machine become the metaphorical nursing home drones, I have to keep them.:(

Thanks in advance,
Jeffzoom.
