Think about, the iphone has a built-in camera. But so far here has been no demonstrations for picture taking. WHich leads me to think that a photobooth type app will be included or later downloadable. This also gives hope to the ichat app I sooo want. I'm sure there are some other features that have been talked about that Have not been demonstrated fully yet. And now with the showing of the demo on apple.com and the presenter claiming 16 apps, I'm pretty excited to say I think there is more to come. ;)

The 16 include Phone, iPod, Safari and Mail.

but still there are alot of popular apple apps missing that can definetly be used on the iphone......ical ring a bell. Steve mentioned it a the first keynote but we have not heard much since then. Apple has been known to keep great secrets until a product is released, I don't think it will stop now.

You are clearly not paying any attention at all and just picking out what you want to see/hear.

#1. The Calendar is already there, as one of the Apps. It hasn't been demoed for the same reason NOTES have not been demoed. They are not that exciting and we can basically imagine exactly how they will work given the rest of the phone.

#2. He said 16 apps. There are 16 apps on screen. There is no debate.

#3 iChat is not a likely app. They have built SMS to be nearly identical in function to iChat minus the use of AIM screen names. It even looks feels and sounds like iChat. Thats more than enough reason to discard iChat as on its way or a secret feature.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that there will eventually be more apps. Maybe not on release, but in a couple of months. Just like :apple:tv got software updates later, I'm sure the same thing is in the plans for the iPhone. Right now interest is sky high. They really don't need to add anything else right now to sell it, but I'm sure we'll see more stuff added over the next couple of months.

I agree. Based on comments from Google, they have more announcements on the way, quite a few different possibilities. I also guess they have some things in the works with Yahoo. Chances are, more widgets.

Who knows, maybe they will have a version of eBay for the iPhone. Simpler version thats very fast, light weight and allows people to work out their auctions on the go. I could see this working very well actually.

Another cool one they need is a Fandango type app. On your way to the movies, find out what's playing, buy tickets or find another movie theater.

They showed re-ordering of podcasts and what not for the iPod app. Maybe they will allow the same for the home screen. Maybe a place to install our own widgets or apps.

The iPhone is a base for some really cool **** over the next year. I can see lots of 3rd party involvement in it. I am personally trying to work out the details of a few crazy apps I have ideas for, but its going to take a while to develop some of the crap I wanna do :D

Just finished watching this Tour... and The iPhone platform is just amazing,
flicking with your finger, scrolling, pinching, the iPhone's abilities can be changed, and some more SWEET stuff can be added. this is just the begining
and i can see how this device turns into a real home in your pocket.

there are sooooooooo much more that you can do with it, and all you need is software,
the hardware is already there. CANT WAIT FOR 2G
