Okay, okay, a bit clickbaity title, I know.
As some of you may know, I recently bought a 11” iPad Pro. I mean, yes, I bought one this late spring to try it but I ended up returning it because I wasn’t 100% sure. But this past month with the Back to School promo, I definitely purchased the iPad Pro.
And after 3 weeks, using it along with the Smart Keyboard Folio, today I was on the couch with the iPad Pro on my lap and... I yawned. I stretched my arms and legs... and it slipped, I catch the keyboard with my hands but the iPad detached itself from it and... fell to the ground.
Good news: the iPad is perfectly fine, the glass is not broken, everything is fine. I had a matte glass screen protector which broke, but the iPad itself is fine.
But next time I may not have the same luck. Next fall might mean the need of purchasing a 550€ IPad replacement. And I’m not willing to play the odds. So I’m purchasing AppleCare+. I have student discount so it will be 110€ for the AppleCare+ protection plan, that way if my iPad slips and falls, for just 49€ I will be able to ask for a replacement. Or even if it bends, who knows!
PS: After removing the matte glass protector, the screen is MUCH sharper and with more vibrant colors. I will keep it that way, or maybe order a 100% clear tempered glass. No more matte screens for me thanks.
