Just thought I’d share.

I purchased the 12.9" M1 iPad Pro with 512gb originally and had it for a little over 3 weeks. I noticed the battery was draining pretty quickly on it. I ended up talking myself into upgrading to the 1tb version with the 16gb of ram, but not because of the battery. I figured the battery life would be the same. I just wanted the bigger storage and ram. Apple was ok with me exchanging it, so I did so and have had the new one for a little over a week. Surprisingly I am getting much better battery life on it. I am running the same apps with the same settings and things are much different.

They have the same battery in them, correct?

Today I have been using my iPad for almost 3 hours reading content on the web, social media, and playing a few games, and I am still over 90% on the battery. The one I exchanged would probably be at around 65% - 70% by now.

The M1 iPad batteries, at least in my experience, appear to be quite inconsistent!

I'm on my 3rd 11" M1 iPP, and this one has great battery! ( same apps, same set up as the first two units! ) The previous two were draining like crazy!!

Depends. all batteries have some variances when it comes to total capacity available. Depends how you use the device. The main thing is the screen brightness. Lowering it to 75% helps a lot if you aren't watching media that takes advantage of 100%.
