Hi,

My Apple Watch (series 0) keeps pinging iMessage/text notifications even though my iPhone (X) is unlocked and I’m responding from that device.

My understanding (and old behaviour) was notifications only go to one device. AW if iPhone locked, or just iPhone if in message app.

It’s really annoying and seems to have started when I paired it to new iPhone.

Settings seem correct (wrist aware/mirror iPhone). Have re-paired AW etc.

Any tips?

I used to have that issue with my Series 0 after initially pairing it with my X. As Mikeeee suggested, unpairing then repairing worked for me.

Hmmmm, have already tried that last week, but can’t hurt to try again. Will set up from scratch this time.

Happens to me after I have had my watch in airplane mode. I’ll turn airplane mode off and all of a sudden I get the previous iMessages from the past 24 hours.

Just freshly re-paired

I am having the same issue with iPhone X and AW Series 3. Really annoying to get the notification on your wrists when you are looking at it on the screen!

Mines similar but not quite. I get email notifications on my watch, but there double counted. ‘You’ve got 2 emails from....’ each time an email comes through. Series 0 watch on 3.2.3 paired to X on 11.1.2. Re-paired multiple times. Worked on 11.0 but stopped working on 11.1
