Sometimes when my mom sends me a message with iMessage it sends it to my email instead of to iMessage. I have my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4 iMessage apps set with my email/apple ID. She is using an iPhone 4 on Verizon. Some of her messages get through to iMessage and some go to my email address.

Any ideas. All other iMessages from anyone work just fine.

This is happening because the delivery of her message to you failed and iMessage is sending the message via email as a backup way of sending the message. For me if a message fails to be sent to be it comes as a text instead. My brother has a 3G iPad and when mine fail to reach him, he gets an email.

This is my guess anyway

That would explain things. I would rather it just wait until its able to send it through iMessage.

Thanks for the help.
