Is anyone else getting numb just keeping up with the new apps on AppShopper? I really love watching for new apps that I would be interested in (and have downloaded an embarrassing numberr of them  ), but the sheer number and ability to keep up with them is turning me off a bit.

I guess I need to write down the ones that I'm interested in so that I can actually find it again. There are so many apps that are just so specific (and lots that are so useless, IMHO, of course) that it would be great if there was someplace that you can flag the apps that you definitely aren't interested in and can weed them out in searches. Also maybe flag ones that you'd like to think about, etc. Maybe something like Netflix that has lets you flag movies and flag ones that you don't want to ever see. It would be nice to have some expanded search capabilities, too.

I'm not bashing the fact that there are so many apps. I love the apps and think this has been such a great thing for the iPHone!

The problem is that there is just so much crapware being released, to the extent that I think it would be a great idea if someone setup a site that just lists the "best of" apps. Yes that would be a subjective list but it would be a heck of a lot nicer than browsing through all the crap!

If Apple would let us subscribe to categories of apps, that'd be a step in the right direction. Not having to look at the endless parade of games would be a big improvement.

That is why I seldom go App hunting now. I'll just wait for someone to do a good review of an App before I head over to have a look. Saves me some time though. There's just too much Apps everyday.
