So here's the situation. I have an eMac. No wireless card. Previously my D-Link wireless router was hardwired to the eMac, and my sister's computer was wireless when she was home from school. A few months back the router got fried somehow, and I never bothered to replace it.

Now, I want to get a new wireless setup, and I'd really like to go with an Apple Access Point/Router. Obviously I need to add a wireless card into my eMac also. There's a few reasons for this. The biggest being that I just got Mario Kart for my DS and I'm looking for an access point to play off of. Second would be the freedom of getting the printer out of my room and wireless.

Lastly, I'm hoping by the end of the year to sell my eMac to my parents for about $500, and then put that towards a new 17" iMac.

So, my dilemma comes down to deciding between the Aiport Express or Extreme. Personal opinions, anyone?

The Extreme is massively overpriced. I'd get the Express unless you really need the extra ethernet port and can handle having a non-Apple router in which case a Linksys is probably your best bet. :)

What I like most about the two Apple ones though is the built-in USB port. Heck, what I'm considering is getting the Express and the little Griffin Express base.

Unless you need to connect 50 (and not just 10) wireless clients, or need the extra port on the Extreme, go for the Express. They have about the same range and you get AirTunes as an added bonus (couldn't live without you ;)).
